HEARING LOSS IN THE WORKPLACE

Event registration not yet started.

Michigan Rehabilitation Service’s virtual National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) event is on October 21.

This year celebrates 30 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and 75 years of National Disability Awareness Month! Our event focuses on the impacts of hearing loss in the workplace. Hearing loss is one of the most common disabilities and affects every aspect of an individual’s home and work life. Sadly, individuals usually wait 7 years to seek treatment, and most insurance plans do not cover hearing aids. Fortunately, MRS can assist businesses to help their employees with hearing loss.  We have an engaging panel discussion planned to learn from professionals, advocates, and individuals with hearing loss. HR professionals, supervisory staff, and individuals experiencing hearing loss are invited to attend.
